How we design (attention to detail)

It takes an inordinate amount of time to define and test components, materials and techniques to achieve the desired performance.  Each part of the process is subject to scrutiny and evaluation – nothing is left to chance.  Sound critical components are hand matched between channels as this dramatically improves the ability of a product to replicate the live performance.  Performance is further enhanced by minimising mechanical, electromagnetic and thermal interactions between components at each stage.

How we build

PL Audio products are designed to be an investment and to provide years of enjoyment.  Materials and components are chosen for performance and longevity.  We source and use the best components to constantly improve performance and reliability.  Older units can be repaired or restored, providing many more years of musical enjoyment.  To this end, every product is handcrafted by someone who takes great pride in building the best.  Each component is hand selected and installed, every cable is cut and formed by hand and every connection is hand soldered.

How we audition

Regardless of how well we have engineered a product, the final judgement is in the listening room.  We listen not just for technical competence but for how the product communicates.  How do we respond to the artists and their performance?
