Control Amplifier Technology
Pluggable Moving Coil and Moving Magnet phono modules
– The phono amplifier consists of a linear first stage, with split RIAA equalisation thereafter. This provides an exceptional open loop bandwidth, overload margin and stability under all operating conditions.
Discrete class-A analogue circuitry – Components chosen for their sound quality are utilised under their ideal operating parameters. Careful component layout and placing on the double sided, through-hole plated PCB’s, increase dynamic range and reduce noise and distortion.
Dedicated headphone amplifier – The headphone output has a dedicated power supply and amplifier which have been optimised for making the most of audiophile headphones. These tend to be rather revealing, so this amplifier is very quiet and able to drive headphones with low-noise and low-distortion.
Independent digital, analogue and headphone amplifier power supplies – Dedicated power supplies provide each discipline independently within the control amplifier. By reducing interaction between the different sections, noise and distortion are lowered and low level signal integrity is maintained.
Separate Listen and Record (tape loop) functions – Allows one source to be recorded whilst another is listened to. Sealed relays on all inputs and outputs provide short signal paths and superior low distortion switching.
Configurable home theatre bypass – This option routes the Aux Input directly to the Main Output when the Control Amplifier is powered off, enabling stereo and home theatre systems to be easily integrated.
